Shark Beanie

I had a single skein of yarn from K+C that my son chose a while back. At the time we were not sure what we would do with it, so when the time came, the main two options were between an amigurumi or a beanie. Worried about not having enough yarn for the amigurumi, decided to make the beanie. Surprisingly, I did end up having some yarn left over, enough to make a small triangle, sew two sides together, and fill it with polyfill to get a strong structure before attaching it to the beanie. My kids love it!

The shark beanie design is simple, which was fast to do while using all the yarn and making a product the kids just loved! I made up this pattern as I went, so let me know if you will be interested in me writing down this pattern.

I also took the opportunity to make a pair of short-leg socks for the summer. I truly like the stripes effect of this yarn and although I was able to use quite a bit of my leftover yarn, I still have more left that I may be able to make one more pair from.
